ABOUT

The Studio at The Lido is a collaboration of four creatives who have come together to offer locally made crafts and artwork at sensible and affordable prices. To avoid unnecessary competition, all of us have different areas of expertise and offer upcycled furniture, fused glassware, photographic Sussex prints, and hand-crafted bags and pouches; with quite a few other quality items besides. Just pop over to the Gallery menu to see what we have to offer or click on the artist's portrait to go to their site.

THE TEAM

Alison Jones

ChicItUp

Alison is the founder of The Studio at The Lido with her excellent upcycled furniture. She also sells regularly on her Etsy shop, website, and Facebook Page so her turnover is very high. Each piece is unique so if you see something you like, best snap it up quick before it is gone.

Adrian Woodside

Seaglass Marvels

My name is Adrian, and I live on the south coast in the UK. I've only lived here for the past 5 years and it is the best move I have ever made. I love walking by the sea in all weathers; it is both relaxing and exhilarating. I never tire of watching the crashing waves, smelling the salty air and hearing the distinct cry of the seagulls.

Sea glass searching was a natural occurrence after spotting these colourful little gems in and amongst the pebbles. It became a delight to uncover these treasures, and it is now the main focus of my walks, turning what I find into stunning pieces of jewellery and other beautiful items.

Goo 15

I am Layla V.P., an artist who is always seeking new ways to express my creativity. I have a diverse range of skills, including clay modelling, jewellery making, painting, and mold making.

I am inspired by the weird, the unique, and the unusual, and I love to see how people react to my creations. Whether they smile and laugh or frown and lean in closer, I want my art to stick in people's minds for not just its appearance but also for the messages and meanings it conveys, whether intended or not.

Jane Wilkinson

Made By Me

Jane's passion is sewing, and considers making bags to be the best job in the world. She has recently moved onto making real leather bags by using the leather from old sofas, or waste from commercial manufacturers. It's no surprise, then, that she sews them on her 105-year-old machine called Gertie that was rescued from the tip. Jane is more than happy to work with you design your perfect bag.

LarnsofART

Alana recently moved to Worthing to study prop-making and special effects. She makes art in many forms, from polymer clay magnets and little creatures, to abstract paintings and prints, taking inspiration from bright colours and wacky designs. She loves to create art that is weird and unique, and enjoys seeing how people react to the detail and creativity.

Tanya Woodside

aKnotofstitches

I have always been creative since my childhood, and majored in knitting at university. However, I have not knitted after teaching myself to crochet from YouTube lessons, and have dabbled in various different crafts and textiles. For me, it is all about colour, and you can find and order more of my work by clicking on my image.
